WESTARM Therapy & Nursing of Lower Burrell, PA, announces the promotion of Michael C. Lovgren, DPT to Facility Director. For the past year he has worked with WESTARM as a Staff Physical Therapist at the Vandergrift and Allegheny Township / Leechburg facilities before being promoted to his new Facility Director position. He will manage the Vandergrift Facility at 111 Sherman Avenue, Westmoreland County.
Mike’s professional interests focus on Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Sports Injuries and Aquatic Therapy. He has been a certified personal trainer and belongs to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). His treatment protocol utilizes an evidence-based approach with use of manual therapy techniques.
Dr. Lovgren earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Slippery Rock University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Business from Washington & Jefferson University. He currently resides in Springdale with his wife and young children. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, running, and weight lifting.
WESTARM is a Medicare Certified Rehabilitation Agency that has been in business for over 30 years. They offer outpatient Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy at eight (8) clinics along with Athletic Training and Special Needs Students services at five (5) school districts throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. They also operate a Homecare division that provides home health services within the Allegheny Kiski Valley.
