School-Based Rehab
WESTARM provides rehabilitation services to students with special needs through contracts with local area school districts.
Our school-based therapists are experienced in treating special needs students in an educational environment that includes:
- Collaborative service providers as part of the IEP team
- Provide training to educators in general education, learning support, autistic support, and life skills
- Collaborate through MTTS and provide services at all tiers to best support students’ needs
- Consultation services in early handwriting interventions through a kindergarten push-in program
- Deliver evidence-based interventions including Learning Without Tears and Size Matters Handwriting
- Develop sensory rooms, individualized sensory breaks/protocols, & strategies for classroom management
- Lead group sessions to address various areas of school-based skills such as handwriting, cutting, fine motor skills, life skills, transition skills, and positive mental health
- Trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Efficient use of ACCESS billing systems and requirements
- Proficient with multiple IEP programs including IEP Writer, Skyward, DARTS and Sapphire
